Some very helpful words of wisdom for couples looking to have a wedding on the Jersey Shore. Over the past decade New Jersey has become a wedding destination for couples not only who live in New Jersey but also from New York and Philadelphia. Whether you’re from the city or the garden state you will love these important tips:

1. Use vendors from the shore: These are the experts; they know their way around and won’t get lost. They also are used to working in difficult environments (i.e. the beach) and with the local reception sites.

2. Have an inclement weather plan: Yes, getting married on Jersey Shore is romantic but its not weather proof. If you are having an outdoors ceremony please take the time to ask your reception site what they can do for you if it does rain on your special day.

3. Plan for traffic: The beach is a great place for fun in the sun and it is going to be packed getting there. Work with your photographer, reception venue, and limo driver to chart out a perfect day to account for all the pictures you want and all the traffic you don’t want.

NJ shore weddings can be the perfect place for your romantic wedding ceremony; if you do all of the planning beforehand. Remember that your venue and vendors are here to help and provide guidance. Any reputable wedding vendor will be able to give almost immediate answers relating to your jersey shore wedding questions. Look for vendors who complete at least 100 weddings per year, they will have 100’s of weddings to reference and provide good sound guidance.
