POSITION SUMMARY:
The Master of Ceremonies is responsible for welcoming and energizing all guests involved in the event.  An outgoing personality and having the ability to encourage all individuals to participate is a must for everyone to enjoy the overall mood of the occasion. The hours vary depending on the needs of the event. Being a committed and energizing individual is essential for this position. Masters of Ceremonies can expect to perform 30-40 weddings annually for Enchanted Celebrations.

JOB DUTIES:
• Comfortable using a microphone and addressing a large crowd; vocally energetic
• Ability to perform wedding introductions, garter and bouquet
• Outgoing personality; high energy, sense of humor
• Self-directed individual
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
• Lead interactive dances

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must have completed at least 20 weddings
• Capable of working well in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of all genres of music
• Must own his/her professional DJ Gear
• Knowledge of DJ software
• Knowledge of how to set-up lights/projectors/up lighting/monogram lighting and other DJ equipment
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to work as a team player with DJ assistants and photo/video staff

MINIMUM REQUIRED EQUIPMENT:
• Complete DJ sound system (with working backups)
• Wireless and back up wired microphone
• Comprehensive music library
• DJ Front board/facade
• 2 Multi color party lights
• Additional sound system for cocktail hour/ceremony in an alternate room

INTERVIEW/SELECTION PROCESS:
After reviewing the applicant’s resume, a phone interview will be conducted. Based on the results of the phone interview, the applicant will be scheduled to perform an audition for a selection committee. That audition will require the applicant to set up his or her equipment and perform mock wedding introductions as well as complete a formal sit-down interview with the selection committee.

COMPENSATION/EVALUATIONS:
The Master of Ceremonies will earn a competitive hourly rate based on experience and an evaluation of the audition. Compensation is based off of a tier system in which each staff member has the ability to move up in the tier system. Compensation increase evaluations will be conducted by the Director of Operations. Compensation is a based per event up starting at $500 for 5.5 hours or less!
