Why I love weddings

I love weddings because of the enormity of the day that it has on the couple's life. The couple has worked so hard to prepare for this day and I love seeing it unfold. Every detail is taken into consideration and everyone has a special dream. As an entertainer, I absolutely love knowing that the memories created at the wedding reception will last forever and that I played a big part of that day.

A little about me

I was born in Milltown, NJ and moved down to the jersey shore with my family. Ever since, I have loved the beach, the bay, and everything in between (mostly LBI). After graduating High School, I enlisted in the NJ Air National Guard as a Public Health Tech where I worked in mostly in preventive medicine and medical intelligence for deploying airmen. The Air Guard led me to Stockton College where I studied and graduated with a bachelor's in Public Health. My junior year, I made the decision to finish out my public health degree and go full-time into the wedding business. Since then, I have built Enchanted Celebrations from a single DJ operation (me) to one of the few multi-service wedding companies in NJ & PA.

How I incorporate music requests

As an entertainer, I always make sure to speak to the bride and groom to see what their overall goals are for the reception. If they "just want their guests to dance" I will start by playing the requested songs and if it gets people up and dancing I will stick to the list. However, it their requests are not working, I will change things up and play music to get people dancing.

Every now and then I do get clients that only want their list played with no exceptions, if that is the case, just let me know and I will play it song for song.

How I get guests up and dancing

A good MC/DJ will be able to read the crowd and use different crowd interaction techniques to get guests up and dancing. What I will never do is pull people up out of their seats or get in anyone's face. I get it, some people don't like to dance and that's perfectly fine with me. Having entertained at 100's of weddings, I can confidently say that getting your dance floor packed will be no problem at all; it's what I do!

Other interests

Beside entertaining at weddings I thoroughly enjoy being the owner/operator of Enchanted Celebrations and our other brands. It took a lot of time and effort to put together a great team but it was worth the wait. Every day I go into work it is a new adventure and a new day to help couples get their dream wedding day. Beyond working, I enjoy reading and spending time with my beautiful fiancé, Nicole and my miniature dachshunds Lulu and Stretch.
