Why I Love Weddings:
I love weddings because I get to be part of the first day of the union of two people. Whether they were friends for years or met 6 months ago, they've decided to make a commitment to be together for as long as they live.
Out of all of the 7 billion people on planet Earth, they managed to not only find each other, but become something bigger than themselves. That's special. The fact that I get to be there and tell the story so that they can look back on it 50 years into their marriage is an honor.
A Little Bit About Myself:
Growing up, I always had a camera in my hand. I was always taking pictures of my classmates or going on adventures with my friends to make the mundaneness of my hometown come alive.
I decided I wanted to be a photographer when I was entering High School, and after 4 years of working creatively I was accepted to one of the best Photography programs in the country at Drexel University. I graduated in 2013 and began my career where I me from shooting fashion and lifestyle, music, journalism, food, and of course weddings.
My Photography Style:
My style has been developed for over 15 years of training my eye to see something specific. Its remarkable how quickly photographers see something, process it in their brains, and send a signal to their fingers to snap a frame.
I found that my style is attributed to some of the greats like Paul Strand and William Eggleston mixed with a modern journalistic feel. The best part of being a photographer is that I'm documenting the history of people lives to be kept and cherished for generations.
