Why I Love Weddings:
When I first started photographing couples, I fell in love with the energy I was able to witness between each individual. A wedding is such a special event that brings out the liveliness in not just couples, but their families as well.
In art school, I was interested in the narratives that were revealed through my photographs, and to this day, that remains my favorite part about photographing weddings. I love capturing the in-between moments--the little laughs and conversations held between close family and friends. The moments when you, as a couple, are not focused on the camera is when the real connection shines through. I also consider myself so lucky to constantly be in the presence of such joy!
A Little Bit About Myself:
I was born and raised in New Jersey. Growing up, both my parents were artistic, and I painted for years before I started experimenting with my Mom’s old Nikon 35mm. Playing around with her little film camera was what sparked my passion of documenting things in my own life as well as those around me. I took that passion with me into Art School and fell in love with photography. Work never feels like work because I feel deeply connected to creating a visual story of a day in the life.
When I’m not on a job, I’m hiking, dancing, soaking up the sun, or sometimes guiltily buying another plant for my windowsill. I am a lover of travel, exploring new places, and spending most of my time outdoors! For me, searching out great food is always on my to-do list and my ultimate playgrounds are Philly and New York City. I also love getting to know new people (just one more reason to love being a photographer)!
