Why I Love Weddings:
Weddings are a special moment in a couple's life. I enjoy the fact that I get to share the event with them and the feeling of being entrusted to make their celebration that much more special by making sure they, and their guest have the best night.
A Little Bit About Myself:
I have been a DJ since 1995. While in high school, I worked as a weekend mix DJ. After high school, I started to DJ in nightclubs and toured the United States playing in different clubs. After 9/11, I joined the United States Army at the age of 33 and was Honorably Discharged in 2020.
I am married to my wife for 9 years and have a 7 yr old daughter. I love what I do as a DJ. I just love watching people dance and have a good time.
Most Memorable Wedding Moment:
The wedding party had a vast variety of ethnicities, and I spent countless hours looking for music to make sure all their guests feel included, as they were multi-cultured families. I was able to mix all their music requests and had their whole room dancing, knowing that they were all having a great time. In the end, I was so proud, because I knew everyone on the dance floor had an amazing night.
How I Handle Music Requests:
With the help of Spotify or Apple Playlists, I take my time and look for the songs requested by each event and make a folder on my DJ Programs and make sure I have all requested music before the event. If I have to find something on the fly, I download the songs requested, if not in my library. I will give the music a good listen and find the best time in my set to play their request that can easily be transitioned at a moment's notice.
How I Get Guests Up And Dancing:
Motivation and playing today's best dance music or those great party classics that get guests wanting to get up and get down on the dance floor. Also, being active and hyping up the crowd as we celebrate with the couple when it's time to celebrate and dance.
Other Interests:
Family Time when I'm not working is my number 1.
