Why I Love Weddings:
I love shooting weddings for two reasons, because it is so amazing to be an intimate part of a couple's happiest day of their life, and because wedding videos are so similar to documentaries.
You not only are capturing the excitement and nerves of the Big Day, you're also capturing artistic and style shots and you're telling a whole story of the wedding day as you film and edit.
A Little Bit About Myself:
I'm originally from Indiana, but I've spent most of my adult live traveling around Asia doing documentaries on sustainability. My home recently has been on the beautiful Eastern Shore of Maryland.
I have a degree in Video Production from Indiana University, and right after graduating moved to Beijing to do documentary work and that was in 2013. Projects I've worked on have been featured on PBS, in front of the UN, for National Geographic Expeditions, and others.
Most Memorable Wedding Moment:
My most memorable wedding moment was the first time I filmed a wedding with the "anniversary dance", which is where married couples dance together and are eliminated as the DJ calls out the years they've been married.
I don't often cry at weddings but it was such a beautiful testament to lasting marriages and a super special moment for me as a videographer to capture.
I'm super passionate about my craft and really love what I do. I'm into traveling, backpacking, and I am a singer/songwriter.
