Why I Love Weddings:
Weddings are joyful, fun, and beautiful events in the peoples' lives that I am lucky enough to be able to photograph. Through storytelling, I love having the wonderful opportunity to create and document true, intimate, and heartfelt moments that can be shared for a lifetime. I love listening to what couples have to say to each other in vows and speeches, while also capturing the way they felt on their special day. Being able to witness love stories firsthand and creatively document the couple's happiest moments is such an honor for me!
A Little Bit About Myself:
My passion for photography started in college as a hobby. Soon after I fell in love with it, I decided to make it my career. Aside from wedding photography, I am also working as a visual anthropologist and soon filmmaker. One of my goals as a visual storyteller is to use photography as a powerful tool to raise awareness about environmental issues, equality, and women's rights. In the same manner, as a wedding photographer, my work combines creative portraiture and photojournalism, which aims to tell memorable stories filled with light and love.
Other Interests:
Traveling is a big part of my life! When I am not working, I can be found visiting different countries for pleasure or going after a new documentary project. My second home is the outdoors; hiking, camping, and being surrounded by nature is a must for me. Another important part of my life is making art. As a multidisciplinary artist, I teach the art of making mandalas and how to use them as a healing technique. I find myself constantly moving from place to place, but when I'm not travelling, I practice and play roller derby and play hide and seek with my cats too.
