Why I Love Weddings:
I love weddings because they celebrate the union between two people and the love that they have for each other. They combine two families and friends into one, bringing everyone together. I love to be able to be there, experiencing and capturing those memories for them.
A Little Bit About Myself:
I've been a photographer for over 15 years, doing nightlife, birthday parties, etc.. but professionally, I've been in the Wedding industry for the last 6 years. Born in Jamaica but raised in NYC. I took a photography class in high school developing black & white film in the darkroom making pinhole cameras etc. Then, I worked for canon back in 1999 - 2000 but it wasn't until around 2010 that I picked the camera back up and never put it down again.
Most Memorable Wedding Moment:
One of the most memorable moments I had at a wedding was at the reception when the groom surprised his bride with a special performance from one of her favorite Soca artists. You could see the joy on her face and it just changed the whole dynamics of the night. The night was full of surprises, later they announced their pregnancy to their guests. It was unbelievable, and the best part was that I was able to immortalize all these amazing moments for them to remember forever.
Videography/Photography Style:
I have a photojournalistic style. That means that I like to show things the way they really are, capturing genuine moments and feelings that tell the story of the day. Like a fly on the wall, I like to be inconspicuous. There is always time for the posed staged shots but the ones that are natural always stand out more for me.
Other Interests:
I love traveling and seeing the world. There is so much out there. I also love playing poker & chess, because I feel that these activities challenge me mentally. I also like to listen to music and go out to eat.
