Why I love weddings

I enjoy weddings because it’s the most important day of a persons life. Having a job where I get to document every moment, intimate and touching or wild and silly, so that these evolving families have a relic to hold onto forever is such an incredible position to be in.

Other interests

I collect antique hats, and love decorating my home with vintage finds from thrift stores.

About myself

My approach to shooting weddings is to try to capture the essence of the day as authentically as possible. Photography is a huge part of your wedding day, so it should be a wonderful fun experience, not something you have to suffer though on your way to the dancing and cocktails. For this reason I try to remain laid back and provide the brides and grooms I work with an easy going experience, not only so they enjoy the experience, but so they look relaxed and natural in their photos. By the end of the day I often find that I’m most bride’s new best friend!

My style is very eclectic. I try to capture natural and relaxed photos that are both well composed and beautiful.

Tell me about anything you specialize in

I feel like I “specialize” in being able to sense the aesthetic mood that the bride and groom are trying to convey on their big day, and use this knowledge to capture the event in a way that will speak to that mood.
