Why I Love Weddings:
I love weddings because they are fun, entertaining, and deeply heartfelt events. Every wedding is unique, filled with real emotion, meaningful moments, and people coming together to celebrate love. Being able to set the tone through music, guide the energy of the room, and help create memories that couples and their families will remember forever is incredibly rewarding to me.
A Little Bit About Myself:
I’m a Philadelphia-based DJ with over 20 years of experience. My very first DJ gig was a dollar party back in high school, and that early love for music turned into a lifelong passion. I specialize in hip-hop, R&B, pop, classic pop, oldies, and open-format events. I’m also a big Philly sports fan and bring that same energy to every event I DJ. I pride myself on reading the room and making sure every event is fun, smooth, and memorable.
Most Memorable Wedding Moment:
One of my most memorable wedding moments was a father-daughter dance where the bride and her dad surprised everyone with a fully choreographed four-minute routine. The energy in the room was incredible as guests were cheering, laughing, and getting emotional all at once. It was an amazing moment that showed how fun, personal, and unforgettable weddings can be when couples truly make the day their own.
How I Handle Music Requests:
I encourage music requests and believe they help make each event unique. I collect must-play and do-not-play songs in advance and use guest requests during the event to enhance the vibe, while staying true to the couple’s vision. Every request is blended naturally into the set so the flow and energy of the event are never disrupted.
How I Get Guests Up And Dancing:
I focus on creating a welcoming atmosphere that makes guests feel comfortable joining in. Line dances are always a great go-to for bringing people together, and moments that involve the bride and groom naturally encourage everyone else to participate. Once guests see the couple having fun on the dance floor, it sets the tone and builds momentum for the rest of the night.
Other Interests:
Outside of DJing, I’m a tech professional by trade and enjoy working with technology and problem-solving. I’m also a big Philadelphia sports fan and enjoy live music, entertainment, and spending quality time with family and friends.
