Why I Love Weddings:
I have always strived to commit myself to work that matters. Few things are as important in a person's life as their wedding day. These are memories that last a lifetime, and it is my privilege to document, secure, and present these memories in the way they deserve - the best way possible. Through working with my clients, I am given the opportunity to work with them personally and get to know each couple. It is work that broadens my own horizons and work that fulfills me.
Most Memorable Wedding Moment:
My first Jewish wedding I had the privilege of working was very memorable. The traditions on display were fantastic for me to capture. In particular, the mezinke tradition of honoring the parents after their last child is wed. The mother of the groom was sat in a chair and hoisted into the air by the dancing wedding party. I had never seen anything like it, and it was a wonder to capture on camera.
Videography/Photography Style:
I love to incorporate layering into my shots. Working with foregrounds and backgrounds can take what would be an ordinary shot and turn it into something incredible. Beautiful venues are great, but an even greater videographer knows how to take any location and any circumstance and use it to make something that is spectacular to match the occasion.
Other Interests:
I love documentary filmmaking, and it is something I do regularly on the side. Like weddings, there is a notion of capturing important memories and legacies that I just find so appealing. I've worked with artists, steelworkers, and veterans, among others, so that their stories have a chance to be told and preserved for the future.
