Why I Love Weddings:
It's easy to say, "I love love." But to be more in-depth, I'll say I love witnessing and capturing love; during weddings it feels like stepping into someone else's fairytale for a day. You get to experience love in its rawest form, whether it be from one lover to another, from a father to a daughter, from a mother to a son, from a brother to a sister, or from a friend to an even deeper friend.
Most Memorable Wedding Moment:
Capturing my first ever couples dance. It was before the family and friends came in, and they were super nervous and wanted to practice one last time. I know officially everyone counts the dance they did in front of everyone as their first, but I count the one shared between themselves (and the photographer and myself).
Videography/Photography Style:
I choose candid because it feels less intrusive and documentary because everything captured visually is someone else’s story. Candid moments can feel documentary-style and vice versa, but I believe what drives most people to watch and enjoy a moment in time is the moment in time (with audio, of course). For example, while most people prefer a highlight film with music over it, a lot of people have gradually started to move more towards the documentary style of films, where you can hear their partners speaking, children laughing, glasses being clinked, and pieces of a day linked into a moment in time.
Other Interests:
I love reading, traveling, and occasionally streaming games, and I'm a big cinephile! I’ve been currently to Iceland, Senegal, Morocco, Italy, Thailand & Mexico, and a few others. There’s something about traveling that has always provided me with a sense of ease and peace. It feels grounding; my problems and worries feel small, and I feel as if, in some way, I’m learning from others and experiencing the world through a different lens. Currently pursuing a few languages so I can dive into it more. It’s also where my travel photography/videography hobby came to be.
Most of the books I read are drama, mystery, fantasy and romance. It depends on my fancy honestly, I attempt to make a yearly goal where I finish a certain amount of books, and sometimes I complete it and sometimes I don’t. It’s probably one of my favorite hobbies I partake in. Whether I’m in line at Target, waiting in the doctor’s office or chilling in an airport before my flight. I have my kindle on me, and if not the kindle app on my phone
