But first, time for a brief history lesson! The prestigious Atlantic City Country Club is apart of the Ottinger Golf Group. Back in the late 1800’s, this 18-hole golf course and Clubhouse got its famous name and caught the attention of visitors and golf lovers frequenting the beaches and boardwalks nearby. As the years flew by, the golf course grew in popularity and even welcomed a dining room (now The Grand Ballroom). In 1906, Philly golfer Abner Smith coined the term “birth of the birdie,” which landed him a memorial rock. Clearly, this country club holds traditions close to their heart, and it’s no wonder why it’s adored!
Food Frenzy
Now, it’s time to talk food! The Atlantic City Country Club has an eye for detail and a taste for only the best. Included in their list of food and beverage amenities is a five hour top shelf open bar, hors d’oeuvres, champagne toast, a full course gourmet dinner, and so much more. At cocktail hour, couples can even pick one station (hello, french fry station!) for guests to munch on paired with those refreshing cocktails. In addition to a cake for dessert, the chef will present mini pastries and cakes, too.
Hungry yet? Couples such as Christine and Peter have been lucky enough to chow down on the Atlantic City Country Club’s delicious eats when celebrating their big day! This happy pair chose some signature drinks and a yummy pulled pork sandwich bar to serve at cocktail hour. After dinner and a lot of dancing, the two enjoyed their magnificent four-tiered cake, ice cream bar, and Italian pastries. No matter what time of year you are booking with the Atlantic City Country Club, there are amazing facility features that the venue has to offer. We’re talking directional cards, table settings, card cage, and much more for your over-the-top reception. Before the party can officially kick off, the venue conveniently has a bridal suite reserved especially for getting all dolled up. On top of it all, the beautifully landscaped grounds make for stunning Atlantic City Country Club wedding photos!
That’s not all! Seating up to 260 people, receptions in the magnificent Grand Ballroom are a dream come true. There is an outside area for couples to profess their love for each other surrounded by their friends and family. This portion of the venue is a covered space with open walls and fans, just in case warmer weather weddings get a bit too warm. Couples can tie in their own flare to the space by adding their own aisle and altar decorations. In 2018, Andre and Sean created an altar piece made of fabric and ribbons to make the space even more elegant than it already is. Wedding Day Wonders
After hosting many weddings over the decades, one would think that the Atlantic City Country Club’s events would start to all look the same, but that is so false! This amazing venue strives for uniqueness and aims to make every couple’s wishes come true. One couple’s video that stood out to us was created for Lauren and Josh! Their videography featured unbelievable drone footage, which showed off the wide open golf course lands. Also documented was the couple’s special first look on the Sundeck together before getting to tie the knot. Above all, these newlyweds did not skimp on details and added the adorable touches to their wedding day, such as golf balls that spelled out “Thank You.” In between all the amazing video ops here, they took a break for a round of golf. All that was left to do was dance the night away in the ballroom!
Another worthy couple mentioned is the lovely Megan and Anthony, who walked down the aisle in the summer of 2017. After getting ready in the country club’s own private bridal suite, Megan ventured to the top of the venue’s famous Sundeck to take some gorgeous photos under the sunshine with her bridesmaids. From this view, the ravishing green lawns of the country club were unbelievably breathtaking! After the happy couple said their “I Do’s,” they went inside the venue to take more photos in front of a grand fireplace, followed by photos on the lawn. When it was time for the party, they made their memorable entrance into the Grand Ballroom for the first time. The luxurious room looked stunning, with small touches of bright sunflowers that Megan and Anthony filled the space with. The ballroom’s large dance floor soon flooded with guests eager to celebrate!
